The European Space Expo will be in Helsinki from 17 to 21 August. This exhibition was launched by the European Commission to show how space and its applications provide benefits to Europe's citizens. The Expo highlights the critical role of the European Union in space and space-based technologies.
The Expo showcases the flagship programmes of Galileo, EGNOS and GMES, which are expected to create global market opportunities and help to support job creation and economic growth. Visitors will be able to see, touch and experience the wide range of innovative technologies and services that space offers them.
The Expo was presented first in Copenhagen and Toulouse. After Helsinki it will move to Brussels, Vienna, Cyprus and London.
