The Council will discuss the multiannual financial framework (MFF) for the 2014-2020 period on the basis of the negotiating box which, for the first time, covers all three parts of the MFF package (MFF regulation, own resources and sector-specific acts).

On the basis of a draft annotated agenda, it will start preparation of the European Council meeting on 29 June.

Moreover, the Council is expected to discuss the G20 summit which will take place on 18-19 June in Mexico.
