EU-Projekte in Österreich: EdTwin – Education Twinning

The Viennese school board coordinates the EU-funded project EdTwin which offers school partnerships, thematic educational networks, language courses and apprenticeships in the neighbouring regions of Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Supported by the EU's Regional Development Fund EFRE, EdTwin brings together children and teachers from different cultures as an important foundation for the cooperation in the Centrope Region Vienna, Brno, Bratislava and Györ.

EU-Projekte in Österreich: Mingo - Start-up services in Wien

The City of Vienna (Vienna Business Agency) promotes young enterprise start-ups with a variety of services. Mingo, a project funded by the EU's Regional Development Funds EFRE, helps entrepreneurs with consultancy, coaching and workshops to set up their business in Vienna. The services are now offered in 15 different languages. Forty percent of all start-ups in Vienna have a migration background.

EU-Projekte in Österreich: Step Spitzenforschung im Textilbereich

Vorarlberg is one of the leading regions of the textile industry in Central Europe. The Research Institute for Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics in Dornbirn coordinates the EU-funded project Step. Step promotes young researchers, facilitates the cooperation among research and industry, and puts special focus on research on renewables for the textile industry. Being supported by the EU's Regional Development Fund EFRE, Step helps increasing the region's international competitiveness.

EU-Projekte in Österreich: Sprache des Gaumens

The Southern Burgenland is a multi-ethnic region in Austria. The project "Sprache des Gaumens" ("Culinary Language") – which is funded by the EU's Leader programme for innovative ideas in rural areas – supports this cultural diversity by organizing festivals to promote traditional food, language and cultural aspects of the Southern Burgenland.

EU-Projekte in Österreich: Regionfemme

The EU-funded project "Regionfemme" supports female entrepreneurs in the border region of Austria and Slovakia. Approximately 30 percent of all businesses in Austria and Slovakia are led by women. More than 2.200 Slovak and Austrian start-ups have benefited from management and business education, coaching, language courses, mentoring, role plays, discussion clubs, enterprise visits and cooperation meetings.
