Do you want to know what the European Union did in 2010?

What did the EU do in the face of the financial and economic crisis? How did Europeans benefit from the Union? What did it do for a better world?

You can now find the answers in the 2010 General Report.

The General Report is published every year by the European Commission, as laid down in the Treaty on the functioning of the European Union, and it is presented to the European Parliament.
The 2010 edition follows up on last year's revamp, which transformed the Report into a real communication product, which is easier to read, whilst still providing an account of the EU's major initiatives and achievements throughout the year.

The text is divided into 5 chapters:

  • Driving towards recovery
  • A citizens’ agenda: putting people at the heart of European action
  • Energy, climate and environment
  • The EU in the world
  • Making the EU more democratic, efficient and accountable

At the end of the book, a chronology also offers an overview of the main events of the year.

A hard copy of the colourful 136-page report can be ordered from EU Bookshop.

Reports for previous years, from 2000 to date, can also be ordered from the bookshop. Together they offer a detailed overview of the EU’s activities, challenges and achievements over the years.
