Lithuania celebrates the end of the European Year 2012 reminding that it is crucial to support initiatives in the field of active ageing

The National Closing Conference of the European Year 2012 in Lithuania took place in Vilnius on December 17th, organised by the Ministry of Social Security and Labour. The Director of Family and Communities Department of the Ministry, Jolanta Zabietienė, opened the event welcoming participants and inviting them to participate and interact in the scheduled debate about solidarity and interrelations between generations.

The European Year Ambassadors, honoured at the closing ceremony of the EY2012 in Latvia

The Latvian closing event of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012 took place on December 12th in Riga. Finland celebrates the end of a successful and active European Year 2012

Around 100 people gathered at the European Commission Representation in Helsinki on December 12th to celebrate the National Closing Event of the European Year in Finland.
