The opening event for Active Ageing collaborates with Eurofound.

The opening conference for the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012 in Copenhagen is due to kick off on 18 January 2012.  It engages many experts from across Europe in proclaiming 2012 as the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations.

Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, is contributing to the launch event of the European Year 2012 on Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, in Copenhagen on 18-19 January 2012. Donald Storrie, leading expert in the field, will be presenting a recipe on what reforms are necessary to keep senior citizens in the labour market. Also new publications and research material on Active Ageing including the new Active Ageing Resource Pack are to be presented at the Opening Conference.
