Zuhause hat Zukunft (Home has a future) is an annual competition being held since 2010 which rewards new projects or initiatives in Germany trying to help elderly people who live alone to stay as long as possible in their own homes and avoid an early move into nursing facility.

Ideas of all kinds are welcome, from safety-related designs to nutrition and mobility initiatives, or intergeneration projects to avoid loneliness.

The 2013 competition is open. Submissions are open until April 15^th.


Organizator:	Ways out of Loneliness Wege aus der Einsamkeit e.V. (Ways out of Loneliness) is an NGO founded with the aim to improve the living conditions of older people and their place in society.
