"Åldersnoja" (Age Madness) is an exhibition about life and ageing. The focus is not on old age but rather on all different stages of life, from birth to death.
The exhibition does not give easy answers or solutions to our worries, but might give new perspectives and thoughts about the stages of life: What is important to you in different ages? How old are you, and how old do you feel? How would you tell your life’s story?
The exhibition is a mix of stories, photos and objects, with plenty of room for visitors' personal thoughts. Inaugurated on 21 April 2012 at the Mölndal's City Museum, in Sweden, it will continue open until 28 April 2013.
Guided tours, lectures and debates have been programmed to accompany "Åldersnoja". The museum also offers special programmes and lessons for schools around the exhibition. One school had the opportunity to work even more with the theme, in a film-project where the children interacted with local seniors.
By focusing on ageing as a natural part of life and a process we start the day we are born, the local museum aims to give a better understanding of life in its different phases.
