Alzheimer's awareness-raising campaign in popular TV show

Germany

Brandenburg(Germany) / Germany

The writing team of the popular German television show "Verbotene Liebe" (Forbidden Love), produced by GrundyUFA, has teamed-up with the German Ministry of Health to put the focus on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia throughout 2012.

Hand in hand with the German Alzheimer Society, the authors of GrundyUFA have made changes in the storyline of the popular soap-opera, aiming to bring more social attention to this disease and its consequences for patients and their families.

GrundyUFA has also already planned several actions in collaboration with the Federal Health authorities, such as an open day at the Ministry in Berlin
