Ombudsman ensures more transparent selection procedures for EU jobs Brussels



The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) is very pleased that the Ombudsman recognises its responsiveness to criticisms, and its efforts to improve. Over the past 18 months we have developed a much closer working relationship with the Ombudsman's office, which has led to a far greater appreciation of the service we offer.

Since EPSO was established in 2003, the office has handled over 300,000 applications for its competitions, of which less than 200 have led to complaints to the Ombudsman (about 2 complaints for every 3000 applicants). Very few complaints received by the Ombudsman are upheld after investigation.
