Welcome to our new-look website on EU Careers!

We hope that by presenting information in more languages and in an easier to follow format we have made the site much more accessible and convenient to use.

The EU Institutions offer worthwhile, challenging and rewarding careers.  We seek to attract applications from highly motivated competent people and with a wide range of skills and experience, from policy administrators and secretaries to lawyers, translators and interpreters, as well as specialists across many fields and from all the geographic regions and cultures of Europe.

Selection tests run by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) are currently being re-designed so that we are better able to attract and select - reliably and quickly - the best people to serve the EU.  From 2010, it will be less important for candidates to memorise a multitude of general facts and figures on the history of the EU, and much more important for them to demonstrate and apply their competences.  Selection is purely on merit in the form of open competitions, to be organised in more predictable annual cycles and also made much shorter in duration, typically just 5-9 months.

We are not faceless bureaucrats! The achievements of the European Union over the past 5 decades were possible because of the skill, effort and dedication of its civil servants. The EU as a whole faces tremendous challenges, ranging from ensuring continuity in economic prosperity to combating global warming. We need motivated and bright people in order to successfully meet the challenges of the next decades. Maybe you could be one of them?

We are looking for Europe's best! If you are up to the challenge, you are welcome to try one of our sample tests. If you think you can make the grade, please apply for a competition that matches your skills profile.

Good luck!
