Bank recovery and resolutions experts (Temporary contracts AD6/AD8) (m/f)


The Single Resolution Board is looking for highly-talented experts, with a strong background in economics, law, business administration, finance or another relevant field to fill the following temporary posts:

If you have experience  in banks, investment firms, law firms, asset management companies or public authorities (in particular resolution and supervisory authorities), or in advisory/services firms clearly focused on the financial services industry, then this is your chance to  build your multi-national experience at the heart of the EU.

The Single Resolution Board, as part of the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM) will be one of the key elements of Europe's new Banking Union, along with the Single Supervisory Mechanism.  It will be launched on January 1st, 2015 and based in Brussels.

Working for the board you will carry out specific tasks to prepare for and carry out the resolution of a bank that is failing or likely to fail.

To work for the Single Resolution Board you need to be an EU citizen with a good command of two official EU languages (your main language, plus English, French or German as a second language). English is the main language used in the international banking context. Recruitment to the Single Resolution Board  requires an excellent command of written and spoken English as this is essential both for the purposes of the work and in dealing with outside stakeholders.

The initial duration of the temporary contract is three years. The indicative basic monthly salaries are respectively AD 6: EUR € 4.960, AD8: EUR € 6.350. The European institutions have their own social security and pension scheme. In addition to the basic salary, staff members may be entitled to various allowances (expatriation, household, dependent child and education).
