Internal security guards (m/f)

The Council of the EU is looking for highly talented and motivated Internal Security Guards.

You may be required to work day or night shifts, as well as at weekends and on public holidays. If you apply you accept that you may have to undergo additional selection tests to prove your technical skills and also agree to pass security checks and to go through the procedures of the host country to obtain a weapons licence. This is a prerequisite for enforcing security on Belgian territory and on the premises of the General Secretariat of the Council.

To apply for our entry grade AST-SC1 (basic monthly salary: 2345€) you should have either a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, followed by at least three years' professional experience relevant to the nature of duties, or at least 10 years' professional experience, at least 5 of which must be relevant to the nature of duties.

You must be an EU citizen with a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the EU and a satisfactory knowledge of English, French or German. To work in the security service of the Council of the EU requires a good understanding of both written and spoken French or English, as this is essential both for the purposes of the work and in dealing with outside parties.

You will be based in Brussels.
