Specific Privacy Statement

The what, how and why of data collection

The following data is obtained from the contact form:

  • Practice title, country, overview, key lessons learned, age groups, year initiated, evaluation information, contact name, title, organization, address, phone, email, website (mandatory);
  • Practice title in host language (if applicable), any comment on practice category, any comment on age groups, target groups, still operating (yes/no), cost information, type of organization implementing practice, scale of implementation, evaluation references, attachment (optional).

These data are gathered in order for the European Platform for Investing in Children website to share information on the provided practice. The data can be used to approach the contact names provided for more information.

The information is saved in a repository, checked to eliminate fictitious or incorrect data, and validated for future use.

All validated submissions are carefully handled and will be responded to.

All personal data provided to the Commission is handled strictly in accordance with Regulation 45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Data controller

The controller of your personal data is the department of Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. Please see below the "contact" section.

Access to the data

Authorised personnel in the responsible unit in the European Commission's Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion have access to the data collected and have sole authority to read and correct it in the event of input error.

Security measures

Only authorised personnel dealing with issues regarding your specific enquiry will have access to your personal data. Data are stored in a file system and electronic mailboxes, which are protected by personal access control.

Checking, changing or deleting data

You have the right to check, change or ask for deletion of your data. See "Contact address" section below.

Period for which data are kept

Your personal data are used only for as long as it is needed for its intended purpose.
