16/09/2013 | European Mobility Week: Citizens and local authorities join forces to create a new urban mobility cultureEach year from 16 to 22 September, more than 2.000 European towns and cities sign up for European Mobility Week, an annual campaign on sustainable urban mobility financed and supported by the European Commission - DG ENV. Although political commitment at the local level is an essential requirement to join the initiative, the success of EMW really depends on the enthusiasm of thousands of citizens that get involved in a range of public events, such as bicycle masses, car free days, walk-to-school initiatives and many other public activities promoting sustainable and active travel. 
23/05/2013 | 9th May – Europe Day / European Year of Citizens 2013, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, GreeceOn the occasion of the 12th Annual Thessaloniki International Student Model United Nations Conference, which took place from 8 to 12 May in the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, the Europe Direct Information Centre of Central Macedonia - American Farm School (AFS) organized a celebration for Europe's Day on the 9th of May.
22/05/2013 | Obchody Dnia Europy w PolsceZ okazji Dnia Europy, a także w ramach obchodów Europejskiego Roku Obywateli 2013, w minionych dniach odbył się szereg wydarzeń poświęconych szeroko rozumianej tematyce europejskiej. 11 maja przez ulice Warszawy przeszła Parada Schumana oraz powstało pełne atrakcji Miasteczko Schumana, natomiast 13 maja miała miejsce debata z udziałem wiceprzewodniczącej Komisji Europejskiej Viviane Reding i ministra Michała Boniego poświęcona ochronie danych osobowych w internecie. Dyskusja ta była kolejnym etapem debaty o prywatności w sieci, w którą zaangażowane jest Ministerstwo Administracji i Cyfryzacji. W jej ramach organizowane są m.in. cotygodniowe spotkania ekspertów.

To temat debaty podsumowującej trzymiesięczne warsztaty zorganizowane przez Przedstawicielstwo Regionalne KE oraz wrocławską Galerię ArtBrut. Ich uczestnikami byli m.in. artyści z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Odbył się także wernisaż wystawy, którą w siedzibie Komisji Europejskiej we Wrocławiu można oglądać do 6 kwietnia.

- 17/05/2013 | International Day Against Homophobia and TransphobiaToday 17 May, on the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO), the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is publishing the findings of its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) survey, the largest LGBT hate crime and discrimination survey ever conducted in the EU. Over 93,000 LGBT people from all 27 EU Member States and Croatia completed the survey.
