Europe for citizens – citizens for Europe 16 October 2013 Conference of the Tempus Public Foundation How can we live our European citizenship? What does it mean to be a citizen of the European Union in the everyday life? Rights? Opportunities? Common historical and cultural roots? Practice of democracy? What kind of answers can the participants of the Europe for Citizens Programme give for these questions?
The aim of the Europe for Citizens Programme, which is a programme of the European Union, is to enable citizens to take part actively in the process of building Europe, strengthening the European identity, enhancing tolerance and mutual understanding. The conference will show the projects for the public and share those results and experience that can be valuable for others, as well. Workshops and practice oriented discussions will help the presentation and adaptation of good practices. We are counting on comments, remarks and active participation of the audience.
