Citizens’ Dialogue: ‘Healthy Citizens, a Healthy Europe’ | Valletta (Malta)

‘Ċittadini f’Saħħithom, Ewropa b’Saħħitha’ (Healthy Citizens, a Healthy Europe) is the theme of the fifth and last of a series of citizens’ dialogues held in public places in Malta and Gozo during the summer months. The forthcoming dialogue will be focusing on Directive 2011/24/EU on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare, which entered into force in April 2011 and is due to be transposed by the Member States by October 25, 2013. The citizens’ dialogues are being organized by the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC) – the national coordinator of the European Year of Citizens 2013 – to give the opportunity to citizens to voice their concerns and discuss their views on their rights as EU citizens as well as on the Europe they would like to live in. This fifth citizens’ dialogue in Malta will be held on Thursday 3rd October in Valletta between 10:00 and 11:00.
