The conference reports for the closing event of the European Year of Citizens are online
The closing conference of the European Year of Citizens 2013 was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 12-13 December. The theme of the conference was: “How to Make Every Year a Year for Citizens!”, and the 300 delegates that came from all over Europe had plenty of opportunities to debate during the three blocks of discussion on issues related to “The role of Civil Society in European Democracy”, "EU citizenship in action – How citizens can influence policy-making", and “Participative and representative democracy: Two sides of a same coin”.
