Archaeolandscapes The Archaeolandscapes exhibition will be opened officially by the Minister for Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan on 8 May in the Civic Offices/Woodquay and it will be open to the public from 9 May (Europe Day) to 6 June.
Archaeolandscapes, a joint exhibition with Dublin City Council, is part of an EU-funded project which highlights the use of modern technology/remote sensing techniques to identify archaeological sites and heighten the public’s perspectives on architectural features and monuments. The Discovery Programme is part of the Arcland network of experts (www.archaeolandscapes.eu) who are cooperating on advancing this technology across Europe. In addition to the exhibition a public conference will be held on 9-10 May in the same venue (see k2u2arcland.eventbrite.com).
