Introducing the jury for the ‘The European Story’ Photo Competition!

‘The European Story’ Photo Competition has been running on Facebook for one week, so we thought it time to introduce our esteemed panel of judges! The jury has a tough job ahead of them, to choose first, second and third prize winners from the top 12 entrant photographs with the most votes in Facebook.

The jury is made up of European Year of Citizens 2013 ‘Ambassadors’ and ‘Faces of the Year’ from a number of EU Member States, as well as one member of the European Commission taskforce for the EYC2013.

Croatian musician and TV host, Sanja Dolezal, and one of her fellow Ambassadors of the European Year of Citizens, blogger and radio host Beata Sadowska of Poland, both bring their wealth of creativity to the panel. Also contributing their creative minds as judging panellists are Faces of the Year, including UK artist and facilitator Jacob Woods, Portuguese travel and nature photographer Joel Santos, and German-born Jan Lachner, who worked in 33 jobs in 33 weeks, across 33 European countries.

To be in the top 12, for a chance to win First Prize of 1500 EUR toward travel in the EU if, or to be second or third prize (an iPad mini [First generation, 16GB]), just see below. You don’t have to be a photo-pro to enter and it starts with a computer and a camera!

  3. SHARE your entry on your Facebook Wall, encouraging your friends to vote for your entry
