Elisan annual conference | Brussels - Committee of the Regions room JDE 51 (Belgium)

The Elisan, European Local Inclusion and Social Action Network, is organising its annual conference "Investing in smart ideas for youth employment and integration and Work - Family Balance policies" on 18 November 2013 at the premises of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.

​The event is organised in collaboration with the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee and it will focus on youth unemployment, exclusion and poverty. The conference will aim at raising awareness on these topics among local and regional authorities, as essential stakeholders in designing and delivering social inclusion and welfare measures, including for youth. Key note speakers will be: •Laszlo Andor - European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion; •Henri Malosse – President of the European Economic and Social Committee; •Maria Luisa Coppola - Regional Minister for Economy and Development, Research and Innovation - Veneto Region, Member of the Committee of the Regions; •Remo Sernagiotto - President Elisan Network, Regional Minister for Social Services, Veneto Region; •Marina Robben - President of the International Federation for Family Development; •Dr. Lieve Fransen - Director Social Policy and Europe 2020; DG Employment, Social Protection and Inclusion. The conference will be followed by the preview of the film “Un angelo all’inferno” (An Angel in hell), on the subject of drug addiction, at the Italian Institute of Culture.
