What is the culture of the "Second Republic"? | Dublin (Ireland)

On the 21st of September, 2013, Second Republic will host a discussion and workshop on the culture of a post-crisis Irish 'Second Republic'.

This day-long event of about 100 participants will be made up of a mix of invitees from a range of perspectives and the general public. Speakers will be asked to frame individual discussion points – but there will be no top table and no distinction made between invitees and the general public. Discussion will be facilitated and has no pre-determined end. All workshops will be focused on generating practical outputs. These outputs may be as great as grand plans or as simple as principles that people can act upon in own lives and communities afterwards. What we desire is to create a space in which ideas can flourish because just one spark of imagination, followed by the strength to see that vision through, has the potential to bring about a turning point.

The event will take place at O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel, 1/4 Merrion Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland from 10:00-17:00.
