The closing event–conference of the Lithuanian youth cycle of events “My Europe. My rights” | Vilnius (Lithuania)

In order to promote the Lithuanian pupils’ and students’ insights, self-expression, creativity, to propagate the European Union’s values and objectives, the opportunities provided by free movement rights, to strengthen the European identity of Lithuanian youth while celebrating the European Year of Citizens and the Lithuanian presidency of the Council of the European Union, Law Faculty of Kazimieras Simonavicius University (the organizer), Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (the partner), the Lithuanian Act of Independence signatory MEP dr. Laima Liucija Andrikienė and other sponsors (the famous Lithuanian lawyers, the representatives of business, state institutions, etc.) have announced two creative competitions at the beginning of 2013: the pupils of the upper classes were invited to create short films while the students of law studies from the universities and colleges were invited to write articles / reports. The closing event of the Lithuanian youth cycle of events “My Europe. My rights” will be held on 26 April 2013 at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. The participants of the event – the winners of the competitions will participate in the meeting-discussion with the members of the European Parliament: Laima Liucija Andrikienė (Lithuania), Roberts Zile (Latvia), the European Parliament trainee, lawyer - Jaime de Azua Solano (Spain). The winners will be rewarded with valuable prizes and gifts from sponsors and they will visit the European Parliament in Strasbourg in July, 2013.
