Aleksandra Izdebska, one of the Ambassadors for the European Year of Citizens 2013 in Austria!

“In order for Europe to reach its destination, it is important to be flexible. It is important to recognise people’s strengths and apply them accordingly, and these people must be informed and educated about their rights and responsibilities as EU citizens.”, - Aleksandra Izdebska, Founder and CEO of DiTech

At 16 years of age, in 1992, Aleksandra moved from Poland to Vienna to study Business Administration. It was in Austria that she met her husband who also comes from Poland. In 1999 the pair founded DiTech, a data and information company.

Today, the company consists of several employees from across Europe, and offers apprenticeships and training programmes to European Citizens.

Through their work Aleksandra has emphasised the importance of integration programmes, such as for disabled people and people from immigrant backgrounds.
