What are the dialogues about?

This dialogue is one of series the Commission is holding in cities in every EU country, giving ordinary people an opportunity to speak directly to EU politicians about their rights, the kind of Europe they want to live in, and expectations for the European Union.

They follow a call by European Commission President José Manuel Barroso for an EU-wide debate on proposals to deepen Economic and Monetary Union, and to create a legitimate political union.

“There must be a broad debate all over Europe. A debate of truly European dimension,” he said. “We cannot continue trying to solve European problems just with national solutions. This debate has to take place in our societies and among our citizens”.

The debates are part of the 2013 European Year of Citizens: an entire year dedicated to your rights as a European citizen.

Id-Djalogu taċ-Ċittadini fil-Belt

Ħu sehem f’wieħed mid-dibattiti tal-UE li jmiss dwar il-futur tal-Ewropa – dan se jsir il-Belt, Malta fis-7 ta’ Novembru 2013 fil-5 ta’ filgħaxija.

Ħu sehem fid-dibattitu ma’ Tonio Borg, il-Kummissarju tal-UE għas-Saħħa. Dan se jsir fil-Lukanda Phoenicia, il-Furjana fis-7 ta’ Novembru 2013.

It-temi ta’ dan id-djalogu se jkunu l-futur tal-Ewropa, iċ-Ċittadinanza tal-UE, il-mod kif l-Ewropa toħroġ mill-kriżi ekonomika u l-Politika tas-Saħħa.

Tista’ tirreġistra biex tattendi fiżikament dan id-dibattitu fuq http://ec.europa.eu/malta/index_en.htm, inkella tista’ tipparteċipa virtwalment permezz ta’ dan is-sit elettroniku waqt li tkun qed issir l-attività, fejn tkun tista’ ssegwi l-live stream u tagħmel kummenti.

Inkella, tista’ tibgħat kummenti billi tuża hashtag #EUdeb8. U tista’ tibgħat kummenti wkoll dwar is-suġġetti tad-dibattitu billi tuża Facebook.

X’inhuma dawn id-djalogi?

Dan id-djalogu huwa wieħed minn serje li l-Kummissjoni qed torganizza fil-bliet ta’ kull pajjiż tal-UE, u jagħtu l-opportunità lin-nies biex jitkellmu direttament mal-politiċi tal-UE dwar id-drittijiet tagħhom, l-Ewropa li jixtiequ jgħixu fiha, u l-aspettattivi tagħhom mill-Unjoni Ewropea.

Huma qed isegwu l-appell li kien għamel il-President tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea José Manuel Barroso għal dibattitu li jifrex madwar l-UE kollha dwar proposti li jsaħħu l-Unjoni Ekonomika u Monetarja, u biex tinħoloq unjoni politika leġittima.

Huwa qal “Irid ikun hemm dibattitu wiesa’ madwar l-Ewropa kollha. Dibattitu li jkun tassew ta’ dimensjoni Ewropea. Ma nistgħux inkomplu nippruvaw insolvu problemi Ewropej b’soluzzjonijiet nazzjonali biss. Dan id-dibattitu jrid iseħħ fis-soċjetajiet tagħna u fosti ċ-ċittadini tagħna”.

Id-dibattiti jagħmlu parti mis-Sena Ewropea taċ-Ċittadini 2013: sena sħiħa ddedikata għad-drittijiet tiegħek bħala ċittadin Ewropew.
