Local Debate on Citizens' Participation in the Decision Making Process | Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs in the Republic of Croatia, as a National Contact Point for Europe for Citizens Programme, and the Croatian Alliance of the European Year of Citizens 2013 are organizing a third debate on Citizens' Participation in Decision Making Process.

This third debate on Citizens' Participation in Decision Making Process will take place in Dubrovnik (City Library) on 24 September 2013, starting at 9.30 a.m.

Debate will be mainly focused on citizens' rights and their participation in the decision making process (e.g. local government budget planning) and on the collaboration between the civil society organizations and local authorities in the Dubrovnik–Neretva County.

Representatives of the local authorities and civil society organizations as well as citizens from the Dubrovnik–Neretva County are invited to take part in the debate.

As part of the programme, good practice examples of EU funded projects will be presented as well as funding possibilities for citizens, CSOs and local authorities within the Europe for Citizens Programme, which supports a wide range of activities and organisations promoting active European citizenship.
