Debate about the real Youth Unemployment Tuesday, April 16th, 19:30hrs at Avans Hogeschool, Onderwijsboulevard 215 , s’Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands
Organised by: PvdA Workgroup Europa, a PES activist City Group Fight against Youth Unemployment in Brabant
It is difficult to find a new job on today’s labour market. This is especially true for young people. Dutch youth unemployment has increased substantially during the last year. In North-East Brabant even fifty percent. Throughout the entire province initiatives take place to support young people on this difficult job market. In Den Bosch and Tilburg a "starter scholarship" is set up that provides young people after their education the opportunity to find work experience with internships. There is also money for further training. Europe also recognizes the problem of youth unemployment. Initiatives are under way and there is support from Brussels.
The PES Activists Group of North Brabant organizes a meeting about youth unemployment and how we can tackle this. People can discuss their views and questions with a panel.
The panel consists of someone from Brussels, a union representative and an unemployed young person.
In an open conversation, we would like to inform politicians in our province about the possibilities that are already deployed locally, whilst also discussing these possibilities with young people.
What are their real issues and what’s important to them? The discussion evening ‘Fight against Youth Unemployment’ takes place on April 16th, 19:30hrs at Avans Hogeschool, Onderwijsboulevard 215 in Den Bosch.
This is just behind the central railway station. If you arrive by car, please park at garage ‘Paleiskwartier’. You are invited to participate! Jan Wouters email@example.com 06-54726959 Richard van de Burgt (firstname.lastname@example.org) 06-24604902
