Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs in the Republic of Croatia, as a National Contact Point for Europe for Citizens Programme organizes a final debate on Citizens' Participation in Decision Making Process and role of Citizens and Civil Society Organizations in Local Policy development.
Final debate on Citizens' Participation in Decision Making Process and role of Citizens and Civil Society Organizations in Local Policy development will take place in Koprivnica (City Hall) on 13 November 2013, starting at 9.30 a.m.
Debate will be mainly focused on citizens' rights and their participation in the decision making process (e.g. local government budget planning) and on collaboration between citizens, civil society organizations and local authorities in Koprivnica-Križevci county. Representatives of the local authorities and civil society organizations as well as citizens from Koprivnica-Križevci county are invited to take part in the debate. Debate will be facilitated by the representative of the Regional Support Centre - Programme JAKO.
Upon completion of the debate, an introductory workshop regarding the funding possibilities within the new Europe for Citizens Programme 2014-2020 will be carried out. New Europe for Citizens Programme builds on its predecessor and supports a wide range of activities and organisations promoting active European citizenship and improves conditions for civic and democratic participation at Union level.
