The ETF - European Training Foundation helps transition and developing countries to harness the potential of their human capital through the reform of education, training and labour market systems.
We work with the countries surrounding the EU in the context of the EU's external cooperation programmes: The Enlargement process (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey) and the European Neighbourhood Policy (Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine, and the occupied Palestinian Territories. A similar partnership exists for Russia). We also work with countries in Central Asia, specifically Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
We help our partner countries modernise their education and training systems - equipping their people with the knowledge, skills and wider competences to take part in dynamic economies and societies. We regard education and training as part of one, complete learning system.
