Student open-air fair
10th Fair in a row presents EuropeanYoung people
Student open-air fair and festival with games, sports, regional corners, a European village, an EU parachute team, concerts and more! Opening at 12:00 pm
The ŠKIS student fair is traditionally organised by the Association of Student Clubs of Slovenia. It brings together virtually all student clubs from around Slovenia into one place.
Adventurous culinary delights add a touch of spice to the festival. Students offer regional gastronomic specialities and serve dishes in their original dialects.
The cultural diversity of Slovenia virtually blooms on the spot. This year, Slovene students will be joined by a European village hosting counterparts from seven EU member or candidate countries. Gastronomy will be accompanied by basic language lessons and plenty of first-hand information shared by the participants.
Come and learn how to say “hello, student, friend” in Swedish, Greek, Lithuanian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, and even Turkish! This is our contribution to Europe Day and the 50th anniversary festivities. Quizzes, games and sports will add to the occasion, and at 5:00 pm an EU parachute team will dance through the skies to greet us in the stadium!
6:00 pm. As the sun slowly sinks towards the horizon, two stages will come to life. The main stage will feature Ultra, iScream, Father, Gušti and Polona, Šank Rock, and Dan Dand Vlado Kreslin. Fans of electronic rhythms will enjoy dancing to Marshall Jefferson and Slovene deejays.
On top of all this, organisers also promise a surprise.
