Sunday “Open Day” at the Representation
Drop in for a coffee and croissant! The event will be linked up with the commemorative events taking place in Rome and Berlin via a live satellite link up. Historic Audiovisual archives landmark European addresses will be shown.
The Representation is open between 11.00 and 16.00.
The historic Audiovisual archives include Winston Churchill’s "United States of Europe" speech and Robert Schuman’s declaration of 9th May 1950. Also other keynote addresses by the founding fathers of the European Union including Jean Monnet, Konrad Adenauer, Alcide de Gasperi and Paul-Henri Spaak, Charles de Gaulle, Walter Hallstein and Sicco Mansholt.
