In the year of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, come and see all of the events, entertainment and attractions offered under the banner of the three themes to be highlighted this 9 May:  Talents, Technologies and Tolerance.

The European Space Agency will tell you about space exploration.  On a different subject, you will also learn about European cooperation and mobility programmes open to all European citizens, including ERASMUS and the European Volunteer Service.

The European Economic and Social Committee and a number of NGO’s will provide information on their actions in the pursuit of tolerance, this being the European Year of Equal Opportunity for All.

The Representation of the Commission and the Office of the European Parliament in France will have their own information stand in the village.  Entertainment for children, a quiz, debates and film shows are on the agenda, making for a festive and multicultural day.  Musical entertainment will also be part of this year's Europe Day, and will be highlighted with a special Balkan fanfare.

Provision has been made for a one-off 9 May blog to keep you informed about events and give you the opportunity to have your say on Europe.
